CCS machine oil

CCS machine oil or Kinematic viscosity is a measure of the force of internal friction when a fluid flows under the influence of gravity, and its value is the ratio of dynamic viscosity to density at the same temperature, and it is one of the important physical and chemical properties for determining oil grade and quality. In practical application, proper selection of lubricating oil viscosity can ensure the normal and reliable work of mechanical equipment.

The instrument is a laboratory equipment designed and manufactured based on the national standard GB265-88 kinematic viscosity tester of petroleum products, which is suitable for determining the kinematic viscosity of liquid petroleum products, the instrument has the function of timer for sample movement time and automatically the function of calculating the final results of kinematic viscosity.

CCS machine oil measurement techniques

As with any instrument, proper measurement techniques improve the performance of the Brookfield viscometer. A step-by-step guide is provided in the user manual that came with each device. Here we offer tips and advice that our customers have accumulated over 85 years of experience. This is a solid foundation for a good viscosity measurement method and a starting point for exploring more advanced techniques.

Calibration check

Users are often interested in the accuracy and good performance of their viscometer. Here are some simple tests to check its mechanical performance:

A) Differences in the frequency of the main power supply may cause incorrect speed rotation. Voltage changes have no effect unless the difference is greater than ++ – 10% of the value shown on the viscometer and frequency adjustment plate remains constant. Other symptoms that indicate a power supply failure include difficulty in starting the engine, sudden rotation, excessive fluctuations in the dial indicator, and inconsistent reading on the digital display.

B) Damage to the axial tip and axial arch affects the accuracy and repeatability of the viscometer. The following oscillation test allows you to assess the condition of these components:

1. The viscometer must be level, no moving device must be connected, the power switch for analog models must be off, the power switch must be on and the motor switch for viscometers must be off. Digital.

2. Rotate the portable connector shaft until the indicator or digital display turns to a 5-10% torsional ratio. Release and allow the shaft to return freely to its original position.

3. If the indicator or digital display vibrates freely without vibration and reaches zero each time the test is performed, the axial tip and axial bracket are in good working condition. Otherwise, the viscometer may have the necessary specifications and the device may need maintenance.

(C) We have never encountered a beryllium / copper alloy spring that shows changes in properties in fatigue or overuse, even after hundreds of thousands of bends. For this reason, it is not necessary to check the calibrated spring. For this reason, analog models do not require zero adjustment, so there is no external adjustment button. If necessary, zero adjustment has been made in some digital models to compensate for drift caused by overheating of some electronic components.

D) Calibration oil is recommended for final performance evaluation. Measure the standard solution in the same way as you control other liquids. Brookfield viscosity standards (titrated with + – 1%) are ideal for this test. The use of liquids other than standard solutions is not recommended due to the possibility of unpredictable flow behavior.

E) If the viscometer passes all the above tests, its performance can be considered satisfactory. If you have any doubts about the accuracy or usability of the device, see section 3.5.

CCS machine oil maintenance

CCS machine oil are very reliable as long as they are used properly. Most problems are effectively diagnosed by examining the calibration described in 3.3.9%. To avoid potential problems, you need to keep a few things in mind:

A) The forces with which the CCS machine oil interacts are very small. Optimal performance of the device depends on the elimination of any unnecessary friction that may affect its sensitivity. It means: cleanliness. Care must be taken to prevent dust, vapors, liquids and other contaminants from entering the viscometer chamber. If the device is to be used in such situations, the use of mobile phone accessories and / or disinfection systems is recommended to reduce the penetration of contaminants. Information about these plugins is provided in Section 2.1.10.

(B) Never turn the device upside down while the cell phone is still dirty.

C) Never place the CCS machine oil above 75 ° C. When measuring products at high temperatures, it is recommended to use mobile phone accessories or Thermosel accessories.

(D) Avoid using the connector brutally with lateral blows or downward pressure that may damage the axial point and support. Always raise the mobile connector slightly to insert or remove it. Do not touch the phone to the walls of the container. Do not pull down the portable connector or portable connector.

E) Do not drop or shake the device. The supplied Brookfield Lab tripod provides a stable and comfortable measurement stand. If the viscometer is to be used as a portable device, it must be returned to its transfer chamber after use. If the viscometer is physically damaged or fails the oscillation test, it should be returned to the Essur Labbomate for repair.

The need for periodic preventive maintenance depends on the conditions of use. Under normal circumstances, the annual repair should be sufficient to maintain the viscometer in optimal condition for use. Brutal use may require repeated revisions.
