Viscometer d445 Bath is one of the laboratory equipment. This temperature controlled bath device maintains the temperature of the viscometer tubes used to measure the viscosity of liquid petroleum products.

The Viscometer d445 Bath viscometer consists of a temperature-controlled oil-filled bath. The bath accommodates up to six standard viscometer tubes, which are visible through the front glass panel of the device. Each diaphragm has a cover to minimize heat loss when not in use. LEDs light up the bath so you can see the viscometer tubes more easily.

Features of d445 Bath viscometer

An uninterrupted view of the viscometer tubes is provided by a large double-glazed front panel with an outer panel made of toughened safety glass to BS 3463. The outer panel is removable for easy cleaning.

The top plate has a removable 6-slot recess with 62 mm openings and covers with two thermometer holders. The recessed design allows the viscometer tubes to sit low in the bath, giving you a better view of the upper timing marks on the viscometer tubes.

The d445 Bath viscometer can hold seven viscometer tubes when used with the optional 84202-0 51mm viscometer tube holder. A digitally controlled thermistor unit heats and stirs the bath and maintains the temperature between 37 and 150°C. A baffle helps ensure that the temperature is even throughout the bathroom.

When performing tests at higher ambient temperatures, you can connect an external cooling source to the device’s internal cooling coil. Coolant is circulated through the internal cooling coil, creating a temperature difference, allowing the thermistor to more effectively control the bath temperature. The low temperature bath/circulator 99300-4 can supply cold water to the KV-6 viscometer bath for use at high ambient temperatures.

The large capacity of 50 liters ensures minimal temperature recovery time after bath loading and improves sample throughput.
